While on it, 'Jalsa', the film starring Pawan Kalyan and Ileana will, in all probability, be releasing on March 27. A small part of the film is still to be shot, which the makers say will be completed soon. The audio release is being planned in the second half of February and the release is being timed around Ugadi. The post production work too is presently on in the city.
'Jalsa' audio release may be on February 29
Jalsa is the much awaited film from the megastar's family, as the megastar himself hasn't signed a film of late. Even as he contemplates his next move, all eyes are now set on Pawan Kalyan's film. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas and titled Jalsa for now, the hot news in the industry is that the audio release function could be held on the last day of this month, February 29. Incidentally, this is a leap year and so the date could add some variety. Apparently, the producer is planning an extravagant function for the audio release.
'Jalsa' songs pirated on to the Net
Piracy has become a serious problem to the Telugu film industry. Despite the stars requesting their fans to refrain from watching pirated versions, the craze for such content continues as the fans want to watch their favourite hero hook or crook. Recently, we had the trailer of 'Okka Magadu' being released on the Net, without the knowledge of the makers. That looks mild as compared to the pirated CDs of 'Thulasi' movie that were sold in trains immediately after the film's release in some districts of Andhra. Rajinikant's 'Sivaji' too met with a similar fate. Now, it's the turn of Pawan Kalyan to face the brunt of piracy. The songs of his forthcoming film 'Jalsa' are now available on the Net. It goes without saying that there is frenzy among his fans to download the songs and make CDs of them, so they can watch more of their favourite star. Devisri Prasad has composed the music for the film and it is said to be rather good. A serious incident of piracy has been reported from Amalapuram already.
'Jalsa' audio at Taramati Baradari
Pawan Kalyan's much awaited film 'Jalsa' is scheduled for a summer release. As we had reported earlier, the film's audio release function is being held on February 29. The venue selected is Taramati Baradari as it would be ideal for the innumerable number of fans who would be attending the function to catch a glimpse of their favourite star. Devisri Prasad has composed the music. A couple of songs have already been out on the Net, so the enthusiasm has increased among Pawan's fans. Aditya Music is marketing the audio. The film is being produced by Allu Arvind under the Geeta Arts banner. So, the event is expected to be a star-studded mega event. However, there is much speculation as to whether the megastar Chiranjeevi would attend the function among his fans.
'Jalsa' to release with maximum prints abroad
America, UK, Singapore, Dubai, Canada, Malaysia, Australia' 'Jalsa', say the Geeta Arts reps will be the first Telugu film that will release with the maximum number of prints in all the above mentioned countries. The film too has been made on a very huge budget. Apparently, the house set has been erected with Rs 1 crore and a set for a song has been put up with Rs 70 lakh. Given that the music is already a rage, after the songs had been leaked on to the Net, there are high expectations from the film. Another highlight, say the makers, is the presence of three heroines opposite Pawan Kalyan.
'Jalsa' to have 10 tracks
Pawan Kalyan and Ileana-starrer Jalsa is said to have nine songs in all. The music has been composed by Devisri Prasad, who is considered to be the most promising music director from among the current crop, to provide music for the Gen X. One of the highlights would be Baba Sehgal's rap song in Telugu. He is singing after a decade in Telugu. There is another remix number that Aditya Music's honcho Umesh Gupta feels will do really well.' Of course, the ending is with the talk by megastar Chiranjeevi about his blood bank. So watch out for the album. It will be out in stores from March 1, following the audio release on February 29.
