Murgadoss, who is flying high after a resounding success with his recent Telugu venture Stalin, had been to Mumbai last week and called on Aamir Khan. Asked about the meeting, Murugadoss said, 'We had a detailed discussion about remaking my Ghajini in Hindi. It is likely that the shooting would commence next year. Necessary corrections should be made to suit the Hindi speaking masses'. Rumours were abuzz that Asin would do the heroine's role in the Hindi version too. Sources close to the director say, 'It is most unlikely that Asin might do the role considering her busy commitment in Tamil movies'. Kareena Kapoor has been approached for the role and she is most likely to do the character. Allu Aravind for Geetha Arts would produce the Hindi version of Ghajini. Aamir Khan is on a high after his recent release Rang De Basanti was nominated as Indian entry for the Oscars. 'Post Stalin, several offers came to me to do another Telugu movie. But I am keen on beginning my Hindi movie and perhaps do a movie in Telugu movie later next year,' the young director says.
Murugadas to direct Vishal
Director A R Murugadas is now busy directing Aamir Khan for the Hindi remake of his blockbuster Tamil movie Ghajini. Asin plays the female lead in the Hindi version. After completing Ghajini, sources say Murugadas has planned to do a movie in Tamil with Vishal. He is planning to do an action packed movie with Vishal, who is busy with Malaikottai. His next is Sathyam in which he dons the role of an encounter specialist for the first time. After Sathyam he is expected to work in Murugadas' movie.
Murugadas, Rajini, and Suriya
Murugadas had planned to start a film featuring superstar Rajinikanth after finishing his Hindi 'Gajini'. Now that Rajini is committed to do 'Robot' with Shankar, Murugadas is planning to team up with the hero of Tamil 'Gajini' once again Murugadas is said to have approached Suriya and briefed him the storyline. Suriya seems to be quite impressed and immediately accepted to act in the film. This development puts Suriya in a role meant for the superstar. The movie would be Murugadas' own production, it is said. Suriya has to finish 'Varanam Aayiram' with Goutham Menon and another movie with director Hari before coming to this project. Murugadas too has to finish his Hindi project. So, the movie is likely to start only in the later part of the year.
Murugadoss arrested?
In a sensational development director A.R. Murugadoss was said to have taken away by the police in a shocking manner today (February 29). The police is said to have taken away the director when he was coming out of writer Sujatha's house where he had gone to pay his tributes to the writer. The problem, according to sources, is related to the financial problems pertaining to the blockbuster 'Ghajini', which fetched him a lot of fame. The arrest took place following a complaint filed by producer Salem Chandrasekhar who produced 'Ghajini'. The producer in his complaint is believed to have stated that Murugadoss had not consulted him on the Hindi remake and he was also not paid his share for remaking the film. Police sources confirm that the Salem police have arrested the director. Murugadoss has earlier given hits in 'Dheena' and 'Ramana' with Ajith and Vijayakanth respectively. He has also directed Chiranjeevi in Telugu. Currently, the talented young director is busy directing Aamir Khan for the Hindi remake of 'Ghajini'. Keep watching musicmazaa for more updates.
Murugadoss to direct Rajini?
Rajinikanth is all geared up to commence 'Robot'. The movie is most likely to have an adequate dose of gizmos and technology featuring in it. Filming is slated to start cery soon. Meanwhile grapevine is abuzz with rumors that Rajinikanth might do the lead role in a film to be directed by A R Murugadoss. The director, who's currently making 'Gajini' with Aamir Khan and Asin in Hindi currently, says he narrated a script to Rajini and that it is up to the superstar to decide. The director is confident that Rajnikanth would finalize the script. However for now, Murugadoss would like to focus on 'Gajini'. The movie has shaped up really well and we are hopeful that it would rock audiences.
Murugadoss to turn producer soon!
Earlier reports say that veteran filmmaker AR Murugadoss has tied up with Indian movie arm of Hollywood’s 20th Century Fox to produce South Indian films. But as there were no later connections between both of them, the director now decided to start his own production company soon. Sources say, “The first production venture of Murugadoss will be directed by Saravanan, one of his longtime associates. It is a double hero subject and the script will be totally different, which is something new to Tamil cinema.” They further add, “Murugadoss, who is currently directing Surya for ‘7am Arivu’, will make a formal announcement on his production venture soon.”
