we all are aware about the friendship between Simbu and the now popularly known 'VTV' Ganesh. The chemistry between Simbu and Ganesh has worked well for this pair on and off screen too, because we saw Ganesh, who was one of the producers of the film also bag a role as Simbu's companion in 'Vaanam.' Simbu is working full throttle in director Dharani's 'Osthi', the remake of Bollywood's 'Dabangg', a cop story, but with a difference. While some are wondering if Ganesh will be seen in a pivotal role in 'Osthi' too, here comes this piece of news to all those who are eager to know... Reports are doing the rounds that Ganesh will be seen in a prominent role in this upcoming Simbu film. He will be reprising the role done by Mahesh Manjerekar in 'Dabangg' as the drunken father of the heroine. Sources have also suggested that the film's comic track will be done by Simbu and Ganesh. They have proved their timing with comedy in their earlier films. In 'Osthi' too this duo sure needs to be watched out for! 'Osthi' will have Simbu as the cool cop with Richa playing his female lead. Vijay, Valee in Osthi audio launch
The audio of Osthi was launched in Chennai in a grand manner on Wednesday. The movie, a remake of Hindi hit Dabbang, features Silambarasan and Richa in the lead roles. Directed by Dharani, the movie has music by S Thaman. Vijay launched the album which was received by lyricist Valee. At the audio launch, all the songs from the Osthi album was played by live orchestra led by Thaman. Silambarasan also appeared on stage and sang Cute Pondatti, penned by him for the film. T Rajendher filmmakers K Bhagiyaraj, K S Ravikumar, actors Vaibhav, Premji Amaran and Jai also spoke.
After Osthe Simbu Plays Cop Again ?
Its well know Thats Simhu is busy with 2 more Projects this year. Simbu is apparently awaiting for his next release Idhu Namma Aalu and he is busy wrapping up his upcoming film Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada (AYM) directed by Gautham Menon which is in its final stages of production. The team recently shot Thalli Pogathey song at Turkey and now they are back to Chennai to complete the rest of the film.Its sheer co-incidence that, GV Prakash’s Bruce Lee happened at the same place in Chennai where STR was shooting. Simbu and GV Prakash met each other and posed for a few clicks which went viral in social networking pages since yesterday.In those photos, Simbu is seen in a Khaki uniform which makes us wonder if Simbu is doing a cop role in AYM or is it just for a scene or two. We got to wait for the official announcement from the makers soon. The film has Manjima Mohan as the heroine and AR Rahman takes care of the music.
