Tamil Actress Nandita Swetha, who had starred in Tamil films such as "Attakathi" "Mundasupatti" will be making her Telugu debut. She was finalized as heroine in Nikhil Siddhartha's upcoming project. After months of search, the makers finally zeroed in on Nandita. Her character has lot of scope for performance and makers felt that she will do justice for the role. The film will be a love story with some fantasy elements and Nikhil will appear in two different avatars. Produced by Venkateswara Rao, the project has music by Sekar Chandra. Nandita also played as heroine in Vijay starrer Puli movie and she is currently busy shooting for Selvaraghavan's Tamil horror-thriller "Nenjam Marappathillai". The film also stars Avika Gor and Hebah Patel. It will be Directed by Anand Vi.
'Puli' look of Pawan Kalyan
Pawan Kalyan looked every bit a police officer at the audio release function of 'Jalsa'. So, we were naturally intrigued if it is his look for 'Puli'. Tinsel ville grapevine confirms that he is playing a top-shot cop in the film. Hence the short cropped hair and the toughie look. As is already known, SJ Surya is directing the film and Singanamala Ramesh is producing it.
'Puli' shooting may be delayed
'Jalsa' of Pawan Kalyan, which was released recently, is doing good business and is reportedly getting steady collections. The fans of Pawan Kalyan were happy as their hero is celebrating success after a long gap. Now, the audiences in general and the Pawan's fans in particular are eagerly waiting for his next film 'Puli' under the direction of SJ Surya, which is likely to go to sets very soon. However, the latest gossip at Film Nagar is that Pawan Kalyan is showing more interest to play an active role in Chiranjeevi's political entry and to campaign in favour of Chiru's party in the forthcoming elections. In that case, the Power Star may not be able to allot more number of days for shooting. Under this backdro, Pawan Kalyan had almost decided to postpone his next film further. Definitely, this news would remain a shock for his fans.
'Puli' on regular shooting from June 23
The regular shooting of 'Puli' directed by SJ Surya and produced by Singanamala Ramesh with Pawan Kalyan playing the title role will begin from June 23. It is worth mentioning here that the Power Star had bagged a big hit through 'Jalsa' after several successive failures. It is learnt that Pawan Kalyan would be sporting a huge moustache and also have a different hairstyle in the movie. Another interesting feature in the film is popular Bollywood music director AR Rahman is scoring music after a long time for a Telugu film. One more speciality of the film is that Bollywood cinematographer Binod Pradhan is holding the camera for the flick. However, the film unit could not zero in on a heroine, though efforts are on to rope in Priyanka Chopra or Kareena Kapoor. It is not known who would bag the opportunity.
'Puli' shooting in progress
Shooting of 'Puli' directed by SJ Surya and produced by Singanamala Rameshbabu on the banner of Kanakaratnam Movies Pvt Ltd with Pawan Kalyan, Hansika and Parvati Melton in the lead is progressing well at Talakona forest area. Presently some action scenes are being choreographed there. Even the regular shooting of the film was launched with the canning of some action scenes at Victoria School in Dilsukh Nagar of Hyderabad recently for about four days involving over 1000 junior artistes under the direction fight master Vijay. The most interesting aspect in this film is that AR Rahman is scoring music for the film after a long gap in Telugu film industry.
'Puli' Audio bids showering Crores to maker
Pawan Kalyan's Puli is set to earn big through audio rights since the makers wait for highest ever bid about 3 Crores. This is Following the super duper hit of Jalsa audio, the marketing rights of which were acquired by Aditya Music Company for over Rs. one Crore. Produced by Singanamala Ramesh Babu on Kanakaratna Media banner, the film is directed by S J Suryah. Though Sony offered 2 Crore for the rights, makers preferred to wait for 'more' since the S J Surya and Pawan Kalyan combine was a proven fortune Sesame. Director SJ Suryah, had earlier( 7 year ago) directed the super hit 'Kushi' with Pawan Kalyan in the lead role.
