Shalom Studios, the makers of Myna and Saattai have apparently planned a sequel for their social school drama film Saattai. We hear that producer John Max is keen on roping in actors like Kishore, Dhansika and Thambi Ramaiah to play the lead roles in this film. When we checked with Kishore he said, “I will be doing Saattai 2 but I cannot update much on anything further on this as the project is yet to begin” Likewise, when we got in touch with our sources close to Dhansika, they said she was approached but it is not sure if she would sign the dotted lines or not. Debutante Gowthamraj Syed will be directing this film. We will update on this project with more details soon!
Kakki Sattai Trailer crosses 1 Million Views
Dhanush presents Siva Karthikeyan starrer Kakki Sattai Trailer crossed 1 Million views after two days of its release on January 10. Directed by Durai Senthil Kumar, Kakki Sattai is an action Masala film that showcases Siva Karthikeyan in the typical cop role. Sri Divya has played the female lead role in Kakki Sattai, which has cleared censors with clean U certificate. Wunderbar Films produced Kakki Sattai will be distributed by S Madan of Escape Artist Motion Pictures. Anirudh Ravichander composed Kakki Sattai songs are topping charts and makers are planning to release the movie sometime soon.
Siva Karthikeyan's next tilted Kakki Sattai

Dhanush to team up with 'Kaaki Sattai' director next
Actor Dhanush, who is currently shooting for a yet-untitled Tamil project with filmmaker Prabhu Solomon, will next team up with director R.S Durai Senthil Kumar of "Kaaki Sattai" fame in the language. "The official announcement is yet to be made but Dhanush has already given his nod in principal. This project, which also features comedian Satish in an important role, would go on floors later this year," a source privy to the development told. Interestingly, it was Dhanush, who launched the career of Durai by producing two of his earlier films ace Ethir Neechal" and "Kaakai Sattai". The team will soon start the casting process. Dhanush currently awaits the release of Tamil actioner "VIP 2", a sequel to his last year's blockbuster "VIP". He is also soon expected to team up with "Raanjhanaa" direct Anand L. Rai again.
Kishore gets an important role in 'Sattai' sequel
'Sattai' directed by Anbazhagan is one of the commendable efforts from Tamil cinema to have portray the problems in our school education system especially in the schools run by the government, The film released in 2012 was critically acclaimed and also commercially successful. Samuthirakani played the lead role of a teacher who inspires students to do well in academics as well as extra curricular activities. Now the John Max and Jones of Shalom Studios the banner which produced ' Sattai' and also the National award winning super hit 'Myna' have come up with their plans to produce 'Sattai 2' in this era of sequels. 'Sattai 2' will have Kishore in an important role apart from Thambi Ramiah who played a crooked Assistant Head Master in 'Sattai'. The film will be directed by Gautham who has assisted many popular directors. The team is presently finalizing the cast an crew members and they have planned to launch the film officially in June. Meanwhile Samuthirakani has directed and acted in the lead role of a film titled as 'Appa' which also deals with education system and it is touted to be a continuation of 'Sattai'. This film as the title suggests will focus on the importance of a father in a child's upbringing.
Bobby Simha Keerthy Suresh Pambu Sattai rights acquired by K Gangadharan of cinema city
Veteran actor-director Mano Bala ventured in to Production with ‘Sathuranga vettai’ which turned out to be a critically acclaimed super hit.
