More news →Saurabh Shukla writes dialogues/screenplay for Salaam-E-Ishq
His stint with direction may not have got him the fame and adulation that he deserves but Saurabh Shukla is slated to get all that and lots more as Nikhil Advani directed 'Salaam-E-Ishq' releases soon. Reason? Shukla has been entrusted the responsibility of writing screenplay (where he is joined by Suresh Nair and Nikhil Advani) and dialogues for the film. Shukla is not new to the writing world as he co-scripted 'Satya' with Anurag Kashyap apart from also doing 'Mumbai Express'. In the recent months, he was seen as an actor in 'Home Delivery and 'Mixed Doubles' and was as always noticed for his act. Earlier Shukla has tried his luck in direction with 'Mudda' and 'Chehraa', both of which flopped miserably at the box office.
'Krrish' editor Amitabh Shukla roped in for 'Namastey London'
Just around half a decade in the industry and Amitabh Shukla is already making quite a name for himself in the world of film editing. With a superhit 'Krrish' behind him in the year gone by, Amitabh's next big film is Vipul Shah's 'Namastey London' which is slated for a March 09 release. While Akshay Kumar is known for his unofficial editing prowess, Amitabh certainly has a task in hand to look at what works best for the film. In fact this Friday's release 'Anwar' too has Amitabh using his scissors. He has also been entrusted with the responsibility of editing 'Chak De India' which releases later this year. Starting his career as an editor with 'Chalte Chalte', Amitabh has worked on number of reputed projects like 'Paheli', 'Bluffmaster' and 'Kabul Express'.
Sanjay Dutt to shoot for Umesh Shukla's film next year
Actor Sanjay Dutt will begin work on director Umesh Shukla's next in 2017. "I think he will first start shooting for Siddharth Anand's film, then he would shoot with us. That time I will shoot '102 Not Out' with Mr Amitabh Bachchan. We both (Dutt and I) will finish our respective commitments first. The film with him will happen next year," Umesh told PTI. The 'OMG! Oh My God' director had narrated the story idea to Dutt when he was out on parole in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case. "When I had narrated him for the first time, he had liked the idea. After he came back (from jail), I met him and we discussed about the film. He said, 'Let's work out'. We are developing the subject," Umesh said. The filmmaker is not keen on divulging details about the film. "All I can say is that it is a socially relevant film. I can't give out more details as it is too early," he added. Umesh is yet to zero-in on on the lead actress for the film. Besides the film with Umesh and Siddharth, the 56-year-old actor will be seen in the third instalment of Rajkumar Hirani's 'Munna Bhai' series and reportedly a film with Vidhu Vinod Chopra .

He adds, "This film focuses on human aspect of the lady who went through extreme mental and emotional trauma and really the larger than life incident in her life which gave a new light to change the old and inhuman customs, traditions and forceful religious orders." Prabhakar Shukla has done more then 275 commercials and has made two music videos for Crescendo Music. His other projects are Indo-UK joint venture "The Faith" and a comedy "Main Tension Mein Hoon."
