From the name it is an easy guess that this film will have comedy as its main base. 'Somberi' sees actor Ali in the lead role. This film is through censor and is gearing up to be released. 'Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara Rao' the well-known writer is directing this film which is being produced by Yerramilli Venkatrao. The director has revealed that the comedy as well as the story of this film has been gelled well. The director has also commented that, Ali, the hero of this film has done his role to perfection and the role has fitted him like a glove. One of the songs in this film has been crooned by Shankar Mahadevan. This is a highlight of 'Somberi'. Tanikella Bharani, Gundu Hanumantha Rao, Jaiprakash Reddy, Jeeva, RajaRavindra, Benarjee, Gundu Sudarsan, Siva Reddy and Duvvasi Mohan induce life into the other cast of the film. The camera has been handled by M.V.Raghu, and the music of the film has been composed by Mano.
'Somberi' completes censor formalities
Censor formalities are complete for 'Somberi' (Sobhanaaniki Kuda Baddhakistaadu), directed by Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara Rao and produced by Yerramilli Venkat Rao on the banner of Raosen Films with Ali and Ruksha in the lead. Producer says, 'Our film had a very good story and also a fantastic message, besides there is hilarious comedy. Ali performed extraordinarily in the film and everyone would get a feel that only Ali can do this role.' Director says, 'There is a song on the problems faced by the Indian labourers in Dubai. The song was picturised on Ali and it was rendered by Shankar Mahadevan in a way that touches the heart. This song would remain a highlight of the movie.' Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Srinivasa Reddy, Duvvasi Mohan, Tanikella Bharani and others are in the cast. Camera is by MV Raghu, editing is by GG Krishna Rao, while music is by Mano.
'Somberi' to hit screen in May itself
Ali is not leaving any stone unturned to be in the good books of the Telugu audiences. He is playing comedy roles and at the same time grabbing every opportunity to play hero in films. Presently, his film 'Somberi' (Sobhanaaniki Kuda Baddhakistaadu), directed by Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara Rao and produced by Yerramilli Venkat Rao on the banner of Raosen Films with Ruksha in the female lead, is all set for release. Alis laugh riot 'Somberi'
Ali is the one comedian who can boast of a super duper hit film as a hero. His Yamaleela was a huge box-office success. So, once again, an attempt is being made to cash in on the popularity and comic timing of Ali. Titled Somberi, his latest film is being directed by writer Jonnavittula Ramalingeswara Rao. The film's unit has just returned from a 10 day shooting schedule in Krishna district. Shot in various locations at Kuchipudi, Puligadda, Srikakulam, Muvva, Avanigadda, a major chunk of the film is now complete. The producer of the film, Yarramalli Venkata Rao also disclosed that a song has been picturised on Ali and the two girls ' Rachana and Lakshya. Ruksha is playing the lead opposite Ali. The film is likely to be released in the last week of March or April. The film has various artistes such as Tanikella Bharani, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, AVS, MS Narayana and others in the cast.
