More news →'Thangamagan' movie release date
Young music composer Anirudh Ravichander has scored music for four films this year. Dhanush starrer 'Maari', Vijay Sethupathi starrer 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' and Ajith starrer 'Vedalam' are the films that have released with his music and all of them were super hits. The audio tracks of these film were also well received and 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' being he best of the lot. Meanwhile the songs of another Dhanush starrer 'Thangamagan' has released recently and they are gradually making it to the top with positive reviews flowing in from all corners. Now Anirudh has confirmed that he is working on the background score of 'Thangamagan' and has said that the film will hit the screens on December 18. This comes as an official confirmation on the date of 'Thangamagan' release date. The film stars Dhanush, Samantha, Amy Jackson, K.S.Ravikumar, Radhika, Sathish and many others. Dhanush has bankrolled the film under his Wunderbar Films banner.
Thangamagan Trailer Impressed and Went viral
After the vip , the same team come again with thangamagan. yesterday the trailer of Thanga Magan released and has gone viral within minutes it was posted on the net.Having been released on the net last evening, December 10th, 2015, it has fetched five lakhs number of visits so far.Directed by Velraj, Thangamagan stars Dhanush in the lead role with Samantha and Amy Jackson as his female leads. Anirudh has composed music for Thanga Magan.
Thangamagan does good business
Dhanush's Thangamagan, which has released last friday has opened with mixed reviews among the viewers and critics. This family entertainer film directed by Velraj, has reportedly grossed around 6 crore rupees in the opening day, and is expected to surge in the weekend. The second day collection reports are yet to be revealed.Those who watched the film have commented that the film has a good plot, but the film was bit draggy in the second half. Thangamagan which has Samantha and Amy Jackson as the lead heroines, has well portrayed the love before and after the marriage.
Thanga Meengal' gets thumbs up from Tamil film industry
"Thanga Meengal", set to release July 26, has already won the hearts of the people from the industry, including filmmakers such as Venkat Prabhu and Ramasamy. Directed by Ramsubramaniam, "Thanga Meengal" is based on the relationship of a father and his daughter. " 'Thanga Meengal' (is) a heartwarming movie. (I) watched it with my daughter! Both of us loved it! Awesome performances from everyone! Don't miss it," filmmaker Venkat Prabhu posted on his Twitter page. Filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy also took to the microblogging platform, and described the film as "realistic" and "touchable". Popular Tamil lyricist Madhan Karky said, "'Thanga Meengal' is not just a father-daughter movie. It has something meaningful to offer to everyone, especially for parents and teachers." Director Ram plays the lead in the film, alongside child artist Sadhana, who plays his daughter. Shelly Kishore, Padmapriya and Rohini will be seen in important roles. "Thanga Meengal" is produced by filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon along with Reshma Ghatala and Venkat Somasundaram.
Thangar is ready
It looks likely that Thangar Bachchan might finally kick off his Pallikoodam this season. Vishwas Sundar has taken the task of producing the movie. The movie to be directed by Thangar Bachchan also features him in a prominent role. Chithiram Pesuthadi Naren would do an important role. Music is by Ilayaraja. The movie witnessed a few other problems including director Myskin pulling out at the last moment from acting in the movie. Now all troubles seem to be over and it is get, set and go for Thangar Bachchan. Thangar, the cinematographer, is however, busy working in Periyar movie.
Thangar on the prowl
Thangar Bachchan is optimistic of rendering a success in Pallikoodam. Says the cinematographer-director , "The movie is laced with emotions in the likes of Azhagi and would bring the school days of the audience back before their eyes." Known for his realistic portrayals, Thangar is hopeful of making it big with Pallikoodam. Thangar has also cranked the camera for Periyar. "With Periyar completed, I am immersed fully in Pallikoodam," he says and adds, "The whole crew including Sneha, Naren and Meenal have given their best." Thangar records the nostalgic memories of childhood days in the screen. He also plays a prominent role in the film.
