Vijay after his multi-starred movie Nanban was a success, speaking about his forthcoming film Thuppakki. Thuppakki in the direction of AR.Murugadoss with Kajal Agarwal as female lead will showcase Vijay in a different way from regular. Excited Vijay speaking about Thuppakki said “Murugadoss’s script is a gun and I’m a bullet in it.” Ilayathalapathy from the day shooting has commenced was very busy, without taking any breaks and also got many applauses from his directors Shankar and Murugadoss. Vijay added saying “I couldn’t make it out when Shankar asked me to lead Mudhalvan but if possible, will sure make another film with him.” Thuppaki has strong crew members with Jayamohan penning the dialogues while Santosh Sivan takes charge of the camera, Harris Jayraj scoring the tunes and produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu.
Vijay’s Thuppakki reviving from today in Mumbai
Vijay and Kajal Agarwal starrer Thuppakki directed by AR.Murugadoss, which was halted due to salary revisal issue of technicians, is all set to recommence shooting from today. Thuppakki was put on standstill due to tussles between TFPC and FEFSI. The makers are all set to resume its shooting from today in Mumbai and Murugadoss is ready to shoot the second schedule of Vijay’s Thuppakki. Kalaipuli S Thanu is producing this action entertainer that will be distributed by Gemini Film Circuit. Thuppakki has cinematography by Santosh Sivan, dialogues being penned by Jayamohan, editing by A.Sreekar Prasad and music is composed by Harris Jayaraj.
Vijay’s Thuppakki is 60% done: Murugadoss
Vijay and Kajal Agarwal starrer Thupaki is taking fast shape in the hands of director AR Murugadoss, who has completed 60% of its talkie part. AR Murugadoss, the talented director usually take more time to complete his directorial, but Thuppakki is shaping up in fast pace and most of the shooting is finished so far. Speaking about Thuppakki 7 am Arivu director said, “All the talkie part is wrapped except four songs and some of the sequences that will be shot soon.” Kollywood tinsel town abuzz that, Murugadoss is planning to remake Vijay starrer Thuppakki in Hindi and the director is keen to have Akshay Kumar in the lead that would hit the floors in this August. Kalaipuli S Thanu producing Thuapakki might have wrapped up by this time, if there were no breaks in the shooting due to tussles between FEFSI and producers council. Harris Jayraj is composing music for this action entertainer that has cinematography by Santosh Siva in the technical crew.
Waiting for something as exciting as 'Thuppakki': Vidyut
Actor Vidyut Jamwal, who proved his mettle in Tamil films such as "Billa 2" and "Anjaan", says he's waiting for an opportunity to essay a role as powerful as the one he played in A.R Murugadoss-directed "Thuppakki". "Lot of people kept asking me why I didn't take up more projects after 'Thuppakki'. Honestly, I didn't get anything as exciting and powerful as that role. The reason I did 'Anjaan' was because I really liked my role and the film had good content," Vidyut told. In "Thuppakki", Vidyut played a menacing leader of a sleeper cell group, and his role was lauded by critics and fans alike. In Bollywood, Vidyut is busy with a slew of projects. First up is "Yaara" with Irrfan Khan and Shruti Haasan. "It's a story about the characters aging from young guns to mature adults. It's about friendship, love and betrayal," he said, adding that Shruti is an incredible co-star. "Apart from the fact that she's the daughter of one of India's biggest superstar (Kamal Haasan), she's someone who has made her own path in the industry. I really respect her for that", he added. Vidyut will soon start working on the sequel to his 2013 action film "Commando".
Murugadoss' next is a sequel of Thuppakki?
Ace director A.R.Murugadoss is now gearing up to start his next project with actor Mahesh Babu. This bilingual film will be shot completely in Mumbai, and the proposed budget for this project is over 85 crore Rupees, making it the most expensive film in the director's career. The shooting will reportedly commence on 14th April (Tamil new Year day). Some talks in the industry suggested that the film may be the remake of Murugadoss' earlier film "Thuppakki" starring Vijay, but a source has said that it will not a sequel, but the next level of Thuppakki.
Vijay's 'Theri' beats 'Kaththi' and 'Thuppakki'
Ilayathalapathi Vijay's 'Theri' has completed successful 25 day run in theaters and it is still holding on to major screens across Tamil Nadu with at least 50% occupancy. And what more the Atlee directed Emotional cop flick also continues its record breaking spree. Latest we learn is that the film has collected a distributor's share of Rs.55 crores in Tamil Nadu. This is a whopping amount and sources say that this has broken the distributor's share collected by Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Sci-fi blockbuster 'Enthrian' that released in 2010. Moreover the Tamil Nadu box office collections of 'Theri' has exceeded the overall collections made by Vijay's earlier blockbusters 'Thuppakki' and 'Kaththi' in Tamil Nadu. Despite the release of biggies like '24' and 'Manithan' getting positive reviews and making good collections. 'Theri' also continues to make merry at the box office. We can expect more and more collections in the coming days and the overall count will be nothing but phenomenal.
