It seems the hunt for heroines from Malluwood has come to end now. It's back to Mumbai now. For his next film Vathiyar starring Arjun in the lead role, director Venkatesh will be introducing a model from Mumbai as the heroine. The girl Anjali has appeared in a few advertisements before. The movie being produced by AP Garden Production, who has produced movies like 6.2, Vanakkam Thalaiva and is currently busy with Nee Venumda Chellam featuring 'Githan' Ramesh and Namitha, will hit the floors on 30 June at a grand muhurat to be held in Chennai. The movie also features Prakash Raj, Pradeep Rawat, Vadivelu besides five new faces as baddie. Imman will score music while cinematography is by Selvaraj. Considered a safe bet in Kollywood for his racy commercial entertainers, Venkatesh says, Arjun plays the role (Vathiyar) of a do-gooder in the society. Problems that he comes across in his life forms part of the story.
Vathiyar - The teacher in Telugu too
Arjun has a good fan following in Andhra Pradesh. Several of his movies in Telugu had made good revenue in Tollywood. It has been the routine that his Tamil ventures are dubbed and released in Telugu. Now adding one more to the list is his Deepavali release Vathiyar. Vathiyar directed by A Venkatesh with Arjun and Mallika Kapoor in the lead role is being dubbed and released simultaneously in Andhra Pradesh. The Telugu version is titled Ayya and over 100 prints have been reportedly put for the Telugu version. Arjun expressed confidence about the movie's run since it carries a strong message which would make audience think when they return from the movie halls.
Vathiyar Arjun ready for new lessons
Arjun is back to business after a good run of his Vathiyar. Come December, he would commence his next for Oscar Ravichandran. The movie would be directed by Suraj. Kedi fame Tamanna and Nila would play the heroines in the movie. On the movie, Arjun, says, "The story is quite new and interesting. It has action and humour in the right mix. Suraj has proved his mastery with Thalainagaram. I am happy to be part of the movie." On Saturday, Arjun called on Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at the latter's residence and sought his blessings.
