Though Thirupathy carried mixed reviews and director Perarasu's attempt to project himself as an actor received brickbats, the AVM film has managed to collect good revenue at the box office.
A relieved Perarasu says, "I am happy that my movie has managed to put up a good show. There is a market for my kind of movies. People have appreciated the movie."
"I would continue to do few more commercial entertainers, before trying my hand at an off-beat entertainer," he says.
He is gearing up for his next film Pandigai, a movie with S J Suryah in the lead. "My brother Muthuvadugu is directing the film. Efforts are on to direct the Telugu remake of my movie Sivakasi," he adds.
