Among all languages, Tamil is the easiest to learn: Tamannaah

Tamannaah, the enchanting ‘milky beauty’ of Kollywood, has said that in her opinion, Tamil was the easiest of all languages to learn for anybody.

Tamannaah, who debuted in Kollywood in a negative role in Kedi more than a decade back, has successfully completed a decade in Tamil and Telugu films.

The actress has made tremendous strides in her field and has even progressed to speaking fluently in Tamil and Telugu. She has even started dubbing in her own voice for some of her films, a feat not attempted even by ‘Tamil’ actresses such as Trisha.

Tamannaah’s love for (speaking in) Tamil is amazing as the manner in which she has managed to maintain her ‘hourglass’ looks with respect to her enviable body. “I have this policy: whatever I do, I should do it whole-heartedly and with involvement. My ability to speak in Tamil is a result of this. Many have appreciated my Tamil diction and pronunciation; I remain thankful to all of them.

“When I debuted in Tamil films, I vowed to myself that I would speak in my film in Tamil one day and continued to learn Tamil, though not at a hectic pace. This has made me fluent in Tamil. In my opinion, Tamil is the easiest of all language to learn for anyone; I found it out of my own experience. Those who share this feeling can easily speak in Tamil.

“Thankfully, I’m now able to converse fluently in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, English, Hindi and Punjabi. A heroine’s job is not complete by merely looking pretty and possessing a perfect figure; speaking in the concerned language makes an actress complete in all respect and that’s why I made the effort,” concludes Tamannaah.

Her effort should put to shame efforts of Trisha and upcoming television actress Priya Bhavanishankar; the latter anchors programmes for the telly but survives on ‘dubbed voices’ in tele-serails, a syndrome one could find only in Tamil Nadu!
