Pyramid Saimira Productions maiden film in Kannada 'Avva' directed by Kavitha Lankesh has been given 'A' certificate by the regional censor board recently.

"The trial and tribulations of a widow and her daughter fighting for social cause is the crux of this 'Avva' based on top rated writer of Kannada literature P.Lankesh's novel 'Mussanje Katha Prasanga'. With complete rural background the screenplay is made with local flavor in dialogues intact," says Kavitha Lankesh.

"The rough language and kissing very intimate scene (between Vijay and Smitha) in the film forced the censor board to give 'A' certificate and I am not worried," says Kavitha Lankesh. Madhu Ambat is the cameraman and Issac has scored the music. Chandre Gowda penned the dialogues in the desi style for this film.

Shruthi, Vijay, Smitha, Rangayana Raghu, Enagi Nataraj, Suchendra Prasd, Ashwath Ninasam, Arundhati Jatakara, Hanumakka, Nataraja Honnavalli are in the cast.

This film 'Avva' is slated for release in the January last week.
