Big time felicitations are on for this birthday of Dasari Narayana Rao. The ace director is celebrating his 62nd birthday.
Last year on the same occasion 148 directors from the Telugu film industry were felicitated. This year the laurels will go to the producers. The works of around 97 of them will be lauded at a function that is being organized at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad. All these producers have made films for Dasari at some point of time.
Apart from the producers getting their awards, like every year this year too, two directors have been chosen for the coveted Dasari Narayana Rao Award for two categories, the best director award and the best debutant director award. Shekhar Kammula will receive the award in the best director's slot for 'Happy Days' and Eeshwar Reddy will receive the award in the best debutante director's slot for 'Mee Sreyobhilashi'.
The directors along with their certificates and trophy will receive a cash award of one lakh rupees.
Also Pasupuleti RamaRao and Prabhu, senior journalists, will receive the best journalist award, and also fifty thousand rupees in cash along with their awards.
