Mallika! I hate you - yeah, you heard that right!

That's the name of the new album by Sandeep Chowta. Sandeep's album comes back after a 3 year hiatus and many super hits - the latest being Telegu hit 'Super', starring Nagarjuna, which sold the highest CDs and Cassettes in Andhra Pradesh in the last decade!

The lead song featuring in the album is also called 'Mallika! I Hate You'. It's a hate song for someone you love. What's the inspiration behind this song - "Every woman who is beautiful evokes an array of extreme emotions - from absolute passion to absolute hatred? Her inaccessibility is the most hated. 'Mallika! I Hate You' is one such typical case,' explains Chowta. What's more intriguing is the name of the object of male hatred; why 'Mallika'? He justifies saying that it is a stereotypical Indian name, therefore the choice of appellation. However, if it still rings a persistent little tinkle in your head, he would term it as 'purely coincidental.'

The song has been sung by Sonu Kakkar and lyrics have been penned by Vipin Kakkar. The album is also first of its kind since it is fronted by a 'single', a concept very new to the Indian Music Industry. There are several versions of 'Mallika! I Hate You', each of which have their own bonus - there is a Desi version and a Dance version to rock the dance floors, a lounge version to soothe your nerves, and a 'Mallika Tring Tring' Version which will leave you in splits.

That is not all - the album a new dance track 'Akkad Bakkad' from Sandeep's super hit 'Super' and all time dance favorites like 'Babuji' and 'Dum' from Dum.

Sandeep's involvement in the album just doesn't end as a composer - he has also directed the original and remixes videos. The video features Sigga, an Iceland is model and a popular face gracing several commercials currently on air. The highlight of the video is that it features only Sigga - just one character - dancing and singing through out - another unique idea.

"Sandeep is perhaps one of the most versatile and talented composers we have in the industry today. We have done very interesting work with him in the past, and we are confident that this project is going to be another feather in the cap for both Sandeep and Sony BMG."

The album also boasts of the programming genius of Jay Oliver - who was a part of the legendary band Eagles (of Hotel California fame) and the one who discovered, honed and produced Sheryl Crow's albums.
