Well known producer, director and novelist of Telugu films C.V.Reddy made his beginning in Kannada from 'The Citizen' film that went on the floor on Republic Day. He has lent the story for this Kannada film besides writing the screenplay and producing the film. The Kannada version of 'The Citizen' will be dubbed in to Telugu says Reddy.
70 years C.V.Reddy produced, scripted and directed films like Pelli Gola, Badili, Amma Naana Kaavali, Vijaya Rama Raju, Aadutu Paadutu, Swetha Nagu, Madhumati, Pagele Vennela. The film 'Badili' got him the Nandi award as second best feature film in 1995.
Director Saiprakash and Saikumar look after the interest of the producers very well Mr Reddy complimented. He is shooting the entire film 'The Citizen' in Karnataka and for the dubbed version he is ready to shell down 20 percent tax to the Andhra Pradesh government.
Mr Reddy says the hero is forcibly pushed into the den of anti social activities. How effortlessly he comes out from it is the climax part says Reddy.
Veteran Kannada film director Saiprakash is directing the film while top rated dialogue writer B.L.Venu has written the dialogues. J.G.krishna is the cameraman and Vandemataram Srinivas scores the music for the film. Ashish Vidyarthi, Brahmavar, Jayaprakash Reddy, Brahmavar, Ramesh Bhat, Chidanand, Layender, Ajay are in the cast.
