Seeman, the man behind 'Thambi' and 'Vazhthugal', also rendered some impressive performances in 'Evano Oruvan' and 'Pallikoodam'. The filmmaker found himself bursting out at the plight of today's Tamil Cinema. Seeman known to be an idealist with an immense zeal for Tamil language and its community cried foul at the way Cinema is made today.

His film 'Thambi' carried the message that violence can never be a solution to problems that plague society. 'Vazhthugal', was a decent family entertainer portraying the protagonist as an affectionate son and a socially responsible person. The film had every word uttered in pristine Tamil.

At the release function of 6 music albums consisting of 60 songs in Tamil, where M.S.Viswanathan presided over the function, Seeman expressed his discontent and frustration with the prevailing plight of Tamil Cinema with regard to lyrics in film songs.

"The producers, directors, heroes of yesteryears were striving for quality and good content with lyrics. Those were the heydays of Tamil Cinema which attracted me to the industry. Had I known earlier that the quality of Cinema would become cheap and inferior, I would have preferred not to enter it at all" exploded the director.
