Earlier this year, the entire nation was unhappy that Comedy Nights with Kapil had gone off air. But soon enough, the king of comedy returned with The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony TV.

However, within weeks of the show’s premiere, nurses from Kapil’s hometown, Amritsar, are extremely upset with the show; reason being that they feel that nurses are being portrayed in vulgar manner in the show.

Ex Bigg Boss contestant, Rochelle Maria Rao plays the role of a nurse in the show and the nurses from Amritsar feel that the character is showing them in a bad light. According to a report by India Today, the nurses felt that Kapil, on his show, presents their profession in a bad taste. Kapil is often seen implying that nurses were of "loose character" and "easily available".
The nurses are staging a formal protest, burnt effigies and have even filed a police complaint against him. The association also criticised cricketer-turned-politician and former Amritsar MP Navjot Singh Sidhu for participating in the show.
