Gavara Nagu bags 'Best Director' award from DFFI

The Digital Films Forum for India (DFFI) had organized a competition for short-films on various issues at Vision Lab Digital Theatre in Film Nagar on Thursday. This competition was arranged to promote new directors, producers, artistes and technicians. About 20 entries made it to the competition and of them, a few were selected based on various criteria. The award winners are as follows:

1. Best Small-duration Film ' PNV Prasad (Srikaram)
2. Best Small-duration Film Director ' Gavara Nagu (Aiswarya)
3. Best Small-duration Film Actor ' PNV Prasad (Srikaram)
4. Best Small-duration Film Actress ' Sony (Aiswarya)
5. Best Small-duration Film Villain ' Aravind (Anaganagaa')
6. Best Small-duration Film Child Artiste ' Trisha (Manchu Mullu)
7. Best Small-duration Film Cameraman ' Jahangir (Lakshyam)

These awards would be given away at a function to be held at Ravindra Bharati very soon.

Speaking on the occasion, small-duration film 'Aiswarya' director Gavara Nagu said, "In these metropolitan cities, the bondage between a wife and husband and their relationship with their children have become quite mechanical. We tried our best to explain the responsibilities of parents towards their kids, through our film."

Gavara Nagu thanked the organizers for the award.
