Directed by Kovelamudi Prakash, son of K Raghavendra Rao and grandson of noted senior director the late KS Prakasa Rao, 'Bommalata' bagged an award in the category of Best Child Artiste for Sai Kumar, who played the lead role in the movie.
The film was produced by Rana Daggubati, son of D Sureshbabu and grandson of Movie Moghul Dr D Ramanaidu. The film was screened for the benefit of prominent film and political personalities at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad on September 23.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr D Ramanaidu started his speech saying, 'My salutations to all the elders who shared the dais.'
Then Dasari intervened and questioned in a lighter vein, 'Is that for your grandson too?' Naidu immediately replied with a smile, 'Why not. Now he is also a producer like me. Moreover, he bagged an award at national level for his film.'
