Mahesh Bhatt is a fearless man who speaks his mind. His open criticism of the underworld has in the past made him the target of threats. Things took a murky turn today when an unidentified gunman opened fire at his office in Juhu. The gunman after firing two rounds fled the scene on a motorbike. The seasoned filmmaker was not present in the office and thankfully no one was injured in the incident.
Mahesh's younger brother, Producer Mukesh Bhatt putting up a brave face said that he had not received any threats from the underworld, neither anyone had called up after the firing incident today. He said that he is not seeking any police protection as he was an 'ordinary man' leading a 'simple life'. Mumbai Police Commissioner A N Roy said that it was too early to comment on the motive behind the attack but the police has already begun the investigation in full swing.
