Karan Razdan's one director who has had trouble with censor for not just one but two films. His films "Souten" and "Eight Shani" had scenes involving animals.

He had a brief talk with Maneka Gandhi who told him to strictly follow the codes regarding animal treatment in films. Razdan's one complaint is that the directors are not fully aware of the codes. Three of his films have lined up for release.

After Umar, it's now Souten on March 24 and Eight Shani on March 31. Karan has dedicated Eight Shani to his late wife Priya Tendulkar. According to him, Souten has less skin show as compared to movies like Neal 'N' Nikki and Aksar.
