Anxiously awaited 'Mandakini' by Sri Harsha Productions B.K.Srinivas is ready with the first print and all set to go before the censor committee for certificate. Shot in 72 days one of the songs in this film is shot in 17 districts of Karnataka. This song runs for 10 minutes and eight seconds said to be the lengthiest song in the history of Kannada cinema. This is on the significance of Karnataka state. For shooting of seven songs the budget touched 80 lakhs of rupees.
Debutant director Ramesh Surve has worked day and night on the story, screenplay and dialogue. The budget of the film has crossed Rs.2.5 crores for producer B.K.Srinivas. Rashmi of 'Dhuniya' fame plays the title role in this film. Kalyan has scored the music. P.K.H.Das is the cameraman. Different Danny stunts, Ismail art direction are part of this film. Chetan, Ashwin, Jayanthi, Sudharani, Sharat Lohitashva, Doddanna, Janardhan, Shoba Naidu and others are in supporting roles.
