'Ashokavanam' is the title of the film which is to be directed by the ace director Mani Rathnam. Vikram is doing the lead role in the Tamil version while Abhishek Bachchan plays the lead role in Hindi.
Aishwarya Rai is donning the female lead in both versions. The film's shooting is to commence soon in Challakuddi.
The film is based on the epic Ramayana and Aishwarya is donning the role of Seetha. M.K. Azhagiri, the son of the Chief Minister M Karunanidhi is expected to play an important role in this film.
