The 7th annual Sri Raghavendra Chitravani Awards coinciding with the 31st year of existence of the prestigious cinema news house was held at the Bell Hotel on Sunday evening in a colorful style. D.G.Venkatesh, Smt.Padma Sudheendra, Sunil Sudheendra and D.G.Vasu made apt arrangements at the awards evening. With the demise of D.V.Sudheendra two years ago the founder of the 'Sri Raghavendra Chitravani' it is continued by D.G.Venkatesh with a new name Sudheendra Venkatesh.

Producers and Journalists are like two eyes and they are responsible for running the institution said Sudheendra Venkatesh welcoming the award winners, guests and media on this occasion. From the next year a new award for the satellite channel would be looked in to added Sudheendra Venkatesh in his address.

The other awards instituted by various film personalities went to actress Jayanthi, Lokanath, Director Soori, Chaitanya, V.Manohar, lyricist Jayanth Kaikini, journalist Mahesh Devshetty and Parashuram, cine worker Krishna as 'Shramajeevi' award who has put in 30 years of service, veteran cinema photographer Vishwnath Suvarna, Agni Sridhar did not come to receive the awards.
