The magnificent thought arrived by the team of 'Meravanige' Kannada film is admirable indeed. For the first time in the history of Kannada cinema all the 50 members of the film have signed application to donate the eyes after death. Kudos to everyone!

The thought of donating eyes comes in the wake of Dr.Rajakumar the icon of Kannada cinema making a statement a few years ago before his death that 'Nethradhana is Mahadhana'!

As everyone knows Dr.Rajakumar eyes were removed on the day of his death on April 12, 2006 by Narayana Nethralaya in Bangalore reacting to the application signed by Dr.Rajakumar. The two eyes of Dr.Rajakumar have been transplanted is also a known fact.

The noble thought from the stalwart like Dr.Rajkumar has given way for his family to think on the similar lines and start Dr Rajakumar Trust. The main objective of this trust is to meet the expenses of transplant of eyes for the needy people of Karnataka.

Now that the 50 members team of 'Meravanige' Kannada film produce by Kantharaju, directed by two super hit films 'Arasu and Akash' director Mahesh Babu has opened a glorious chapter. Now it is the duty of others to follow such noble causes. The papers signed by 50 members of the team of 'Meravanige' were handed over to Raghavendra Rajakumar who is one of the Dr.Rajakumar Trust members.
