On the ceremonial occasion of matinee idol Akkineni Nageswara Rao's birthday, the most anticipated launch of Naga Chaintanya's first movie was held. Shadowing the usual media publicity, the event was held with participants being the family members and the prominent people from the crew.
ANR, grandfather of the debutant hero and Dr. D Ramanaidu were present in the scene aside Venkatesh and Nagajuna, whose son is making this debut venture in to the tinsel town.
Special poojas were done after which ANR clapped the first shot to be canned. The camera was switched on initially by D Ramanaidu and the direction to the first shot was delivered by K Ragavendra Rao.
