Director AR Murugadoss’s Hindi flick Akira is gearing up for a September release and the talented director will soon start his next film in Telugu with Mahesh Babu in the lead.
Parineeti Chopra was initially said to have been brought on board to play the lady lead. But there are talks in the industry that she has withdrawn from the project. When we contacted AR Murugadoss, he clarified and said, “Parineeti has not withdrawn from the project. We are looking for someone who knows the language”.
Meanwhile, there are also talks that Rakul Preet Singh is also a contender for the role and sources close to the unit say that she is taking part in a photo shoot for the film. Official confirmation is likely to come soon. Stay tuned!
