Actress Priya Anand, who shares her birthday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi (not the same year, of course!), plays a school student in her upcoming film titled as Muthuramalingam.
Starring Priya Anand and Gautham Karthik in the lead, the film also stars Gautham’s father and yesteryear’s hero Karthik in a prominent role. Prabhu and Napoleon play a significant roles in the film which has music by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and after many years, veteran lyricist and film-maker Panchu Arrnachalam has penned all the lyrics in the film. Rajadurai is the film’s director.
The film’s shoot was suspended some time back due to financial issues but has since resumed and has been proceeding smoothly. This would be Priya Anand’s second film with Gautham Karthik after Vai Raja Vai which released in 2014. Incidentally, both Priya and Gautham are badly in need of a hit film in Kollywood to sustain their respective positions.
A photograph from the film released on social networking sites depict Priya Anand sitting with a group of school students in school uniform. This is actually a ‘demotion’ for Priya Anand, who played a teacher opposite Sivakarthikeyan in Ethir Neechal in 2013!
