Rajinikanth, who flew down to Chennai from Spain after shooting a song sequence for Sivaji, took time off to see Pudhupettai which stars his son-in-law Dhanush in the lead role.
Rajinikanth, his wife Latha Rajinikanth, his daughters Soundarya and Aishwarya saw Pudhupettai at a special screening arranged by director Selvaraghavan and Dhanush at Four Frames Preview theatres in Chennai.
Rajinikanth, who patiently watched the 176-minutes, was full of appreciation for Dhanush after the film. Describing his performance as matured and something deserves appreciation, Rajinikanth said that the movie would certainly make it big at the box office.
The actor was equally appreciative of Selvaraghavan's directorial skills.
