After Vallavan, Reema Sen is now paired with Jeevan for her next in Tamil. After tasting success in Thiruttu Payalae, Jeevan was waiting for a good script and did not accept any offers. The two comes together for a movie titled Naan Avan Illai being produced by noted film distributor Japak.
He has reportedly acquired the remake rights of yesteryear classic Naan Avan Illai featuring Gemini Ganesan in the lead role. The new version will feature Jeevan in the role of Gemini Ganesan. It is an extension of the role played by Jeevan in his Thiruttu Payalae. He plays a womanizer in Naan Avan Illai.
Reema Sen, who awaits the release of her Rendu this month, was impressed with the story narrated to her and immediately accepted to do the role. The actress is currently shooting for Hindi movie titled Chal Chal Chal.
Nan Avan Illai would be the first film in Tamil cinema to be remade again. It is the case of an old wine in a new bottle.
