Rekha is synonymous with mystery. That is probably the reason why National Award winning director Gautam Ghosh has signed her for the role of Lajwanti- a courtesan in his next film Yatra.
In this film she is a character in Nana Patekar's novel. She is playing a courtesan after 22 years. She last played one in Shashi Kapoor' Utsav. The film is complete and will soon be in the process of dubbing. The other actors in the film include Nana Patekar, Deepti Naval, Romit Raaj, Anandi and Nakul Viad.
All the co actors just can't stop going gaga over the actress's sensuous looks and the way she carries her work off. Asha Bhosle has specially rendered a song for her in the film penned by Khayyam.
The combination was last seen in Umrao Jaan. This film is certainly different from Umrao Jaan in every aspect except for the fact that Rekha is a part of both the films.
