As Sacred Evil gets readied for a release, the director duo of Abhiyaan Rajhans and Abhigyan Jha have something special to share with the audience. As per them, 'Sacred Evil' is the first Indian film to delve into the genre of the psychological and the supernatural. Using an international starcast, coupled with the skills of the wonderful French director of photography, Ivan Kozelka, it carries none of the usual baggage of an Anglo-Indian film. It does not depict ethnic cultures or social conditions and, more importantly, does not require an interest in things Indian to be enjoyed to understood.

The film tells a universal story, exploring fears and the yearning for redemption. What makes the story unique is that it is based on real-life incidents and yet deals with witchcraft and the supernatural. As directors, they have tried to shoot the film in all the locations where the real events took place including some of the locales from the Calcutta of the 80s.This is what makes everything so 'real' in the film.
