Shruthi Haasan is surprised with the reports which claimed that she would croon for a Kannada film titled ‘Prithvi’, starring Puneet Rajakumar in the lead role. “This is news to me” she says.
The actress-music composer however says she is interested to work in a Kannada movie if she is approached. “Why not? I will surely work for a Kannada film if the project is exciting” is her take.
The elder daughter of the versatile Kamal Haasan claims her singing career started more than a decade ago when his father was making ‘Hey Ram’. “Not many know that I have worked on a song in Hey Ram,” she says.
On scoring music for her dad’s last release ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’, she says, “it was indeed challenging. Because I was well aware that expectations would be so high when it is a Kamal film. I hope I have not spoiled the show.”
