Sivakumar - High drama

Close on the heels of Mumbai blasts, the news of bomb threat call from actor Sivakumar's in Chennai house created kerfuffle in the State.

A section of newspapers carried reports that a bomb threat call was made from the telephone number in Sivakumar's house in Chennai and the reports also stated that terrorists were hiding in his house.

However Sivakumar was quick to clarify these reports.

Addressing press persons at his residence in Chennai on Friday evening, Sivakumar, said, 'All reports are mere rumors. No such calls were made from his house and even the Chennai Police Commissioner Lathika Saran had clarified on this'.

Dwelling further, he said, it was the handiwork of a fan from Malaysia, who wanted to meet him and narrate a story in which he wanted Sivakumar to act.

Since Sivakumar was busy, the fan was asked to contact his personal secretary. Apparently dejected at not being able to meet him, the fan had resorted to such a dirty trick.

Sivakumar also stated that he had spoken to him (the fan) this morning and since he pleaded guilty, there is no point in pursuing action against him. 'I have decided to forgive him'.

A day of high drama indeed.
