Following a successful outing in his directorial venture Rendu, Sundar C is back to acting now.
The director, who is known for his hilarious entertainers, tried his luck in acting in Thalainagaram. The movie went on to become a hit.
Now the director-actor is slated to act in a remake of a popular Malayalam movie.
The blockbuster Malayalam movie Spatikam in which Mohanlal plays the role of a truck driver will be remade in Tamil with Sundar C playing the lead role. He dons the role of gangster in the movie. Urvashi played Mohanlal's heroine in the original version.
The Tamil version is directed by Sundar C's assistant Badhri. Gopika enacts the role played by Urvashi.
Sundar C is also committed to do a couple of films. Only after completing the three, he would venture to direct again.
