At the pre launch party at Solitaire Hotel in Bangalore on last Saturday evening director Rajeev Prasad K (son of reputed cameraman RNK Prasad and grandson of luminary of Kannada cinema R.Nagendra Rao) proving his strength as associate with Suresh Krissna in 10 films and independently handling 10 mega television serials in Tamil feels that his debut film 'Gautham' will be a family entertainer. From the age of 6 to 60 people could enjoy this film and the viewers would definitely feel they want a son like 'Gautham'. For the script and screenplay of Suresh Krissnaji I have added some more elements with his permission to give a nativity to Kannada film said Prasad.
It is a down memory lane for Rajiv Prasad as his roots are in Karnataka. He has been advised by 78 year old reputed father RNK Prasad that whatever be the difficulty a good film for the family should be made. Rajiv remembered Ananthnag the pride of everyone in Karnataka carrying him when he was a child at the time of shooting of 'Muthu Ondhu Muthu' for which his father was the cameraman in the hilly region of Agumbe. For the same Ananthnag I have to direct today is a god sent blessing feels Prasad.
Sara Alambara who has acted in one Malayalam film with Jayasoorya, one Tamil film with Navdeep, another film with new bunch of artists and technicians feels this is a good film to make debut in Kannada and she is in a bubbly and lively role.
Lovely star Premkumar is impressed with the contents and thanked Soorappa Babu for suggesting his name to the title role. I play a spoilt gumbo in the beginning but later keep up the prestige of the family and make every one feel proud about me said Premkumar. I become a darling of the entire family and that sounds very interesting for me he said.
Sudhakar is handling the camera and Gurukiran is scoring the music for six songs. The shooting begins from 10th of this month in a posh bungalow and most part of the shooting will be held in one single house.
