'Dangal' is based on the real life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat and his Daughters (Babita Kumari, Geeta Phogat). Aamir Khan played the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat in the movie releasing on December 23rd, 2016.
Aamir Khan attended the wedding of International Wrestler Geeta Phogat on Sunday along with Actress Sakshi Tanwar who is seen as his wife in the movie. When asked if he presented the wedding lehenga to the bride, The 'Dhoom 3' Star replied, 'I did plan to bring it but then I was told that her Maternal Uncle will present it for her. Dangal is my wedding gift to Geeta Phogat'.
Geeta Phogat married wrestler Pawan Kumar in Haryana. People of Mahavir Singh Phogat's native village 'Bilali' will remember this day all their lives. Many villagers were seen climbing terrace to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood Star. Aamir Khan was present during the wedding rituals.
