Vijay’s upcoming film Jilla that is being shot in the city has just wrapped up the schedule. Kajal Agarwal is pairing up with Vijay in Jilla after their successful combo in AR Murugadoss’s Thuppakki.
After working with ace directors in his career, Ilayathalapathy has joined hands with debutant director Nesan for Jilla. Which casts Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal, who essays the role as Vijay’s Godfather leading a gang and Mahat Raghavendra will play his younger brother in the film.
Happy with the outcome filmmaker said, "Lal sir’s role as Vijay's mentor is powerful in the film and the emotional scenes between them will be the highlight of the film." Jilla is being produced by Super Good Films that has music by composer D.Imman and cinematography is by Nutty Natraj.
