KCR unfurls India's Second largest Tricolour

People of Telangana state has celebrated its second formation day. The government has officially celebrated the event across several district head quarters. KCR kick started the State Formation Day celebrations by paying floral tributes to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park in Hyderabad city. On the eve of state formation day the chief minister has unfurled a mammoth national flag at Sanjeevaiah Park in the city.

The flag was country's second tallest flag post with a height of 290 feet. The flag can be viewed from anywhere within a radius of 20 kms .The flag is having dimension of 108 feet width and 72 feet height. The tower is erected on a 30/30 feet base. Initially the proposed height of the flagpole is 303 feet which is 10 feet more than the current tallest flagpole pole in Ranchi.But aviation department suggested the government on reducing flag height.
