BIG Pictures, the Reliance BIG Entertainment Company, is releasing Love Story 2050, one of the most eagerly awaited Indian films of the year, on 1055 screens across 898 locations worldwide today.
Love Story 2050 marks the biggest ever global release of a debutant actor in the Indian film industry.
The film releases on 722 locations across 873 screens (367 prints & 355 digital screens) with more than 2500 shows scheduled per day in India. In the Overseas market, the film is releasing with 176 locations (North America ' 66, UK ' 38, Gulf ' 25, Australia ' 11, Pakistan ' 10) with more than 700 shows per day, which is comparable to top mainstream Bollywood releases.
The Global Premiere of the film was held at Cine World Feltham in London on July 2, 2008. The Premiere, hosted by the London distribution office of BIG Pictures, was attended by the debutant male lead, Harman Baweja, the leading lady, Priyanka Chopra, the versatile Boman Irani and the Producer-Director, Harry Baweja.

Set against the backdrop of present day Adelaide (Australia) and Mumbai (India) in 2050, Love Story 2050 is India's first sci-fi film as well as one of the most expensive films ever made in the country from the perspective of below the line production cost.
The colossal canvas of this USD 10 mn film is highlighted by the exotic shooting locales across South Australia, extensive use of special effects and coming together of world renowned creative talents and technical minds. In the making for a little over two years, the Film has a staggering 1297 visual effect shots, more than 50% of which have been put together by several award winning teams and international VFX studios across Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the UK. Richard Taylor, renowned for the special effects in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong has worked on creating the high rises and flying cars that form part of the cityscape of Mumbai in 2050. Academy Award Winner John Cox known for his work on Babe and The Host has created a fully animatronic robot teddy bear that features alongside Priyanka Chopra in the film.
Anu Malik has composed the music of the film. Noted background singers like Kay Kay, Kunal Ganjawala, Alisha Chinai, Alka Yagnik and Shaan have lent their voices to lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar.
