Story:
An inspiring tale, the story begins with Molly Aunty (revathy) who is an NRI from US. She returns to Kerala to take up a job as a bank clerk in a village near Palakkad. Molly Aunty is very systematic, smart, disciplined, honest and takes care of her personal and professional issues properly. She is supported by her husband Benny (lalu alex) who is still in the US. The story takes a turn when Molly Aunty registers a complaint in police station regarding an official who asks for bribe. This gets her into conflict with the young and arrogant IT officer Pranav (prithviraj). He makes a lot of disturbance in her life but Molly Aunty persists and fights with sincerity. How the issue ends forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:
The director has come up with a motivating storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was engaging. The dialogues were decent, the script was above average and the screenplay was smooth. Background score was effective and songs were not that great. Cinematography was suitable. Editing was required at few places. Costumes were neat and elegant while the art department was apt. The film belongs to Revathy who came up with an excellent performance. Prithviraj was brief but he made his presence felt. Lalu Alex was standard. Mamukoya was a revelation. Shivaji Guruvayoor was alright. Others didn’t have much scope.
Conclusion:
The film comes across more as a motivation for anyone who believes in sticking to their values. While the first half goes about with the layering of the plot the second half gets into the challenges and how they are handled. However, the film suffers due to few unwanted scenes and the slow pace. Overall, this is a film which is meant for thinking and quality cinema audience and not the entertainment seekers. At the box office, this could be an average grosser.
