Manam casting the three generation Akkineni stars ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya together has wrapped up the first schedule shooting. While Samantha will be seen as Naga Chaitanya’s love interest, Shriya Saran is zeroed in as Nagarjuna’s pair. The shooting schedules have commenced in Hyderabad in the early June and scenes on Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, and some other vital scenes are canned. Manam is touted to be laugh riot, taking shape in the hands of director Vikram Kumar of Ishq fame. Impressed with the story Nagarjuna himself is producing the film on Annapurna Studios banner. Anup Rubens is the music composer. The film will be shot at quick pace and will be wrapped by October month.
Manam new schedule begins in August
ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya multistarrer movie Manam which has completed a schedule earlier in July will begin its new schedule shooting in August. Vital scenes on all the three Akkineni family stars will be shot in the schedule. The film is touted to be a family entertainer being directed by Vikram Kumar of Ishq fame. Nagarjuna is producing the film under Annapurna Studios banner. Script is by Harshavardhan. Anup Rubens will provide the soundtrack for the film. Naga Chaitanya will pair up with Samantha in the film while Nagarjuna is pairing up with Shriya Saran. The schedule will begin from the first week of August and the entire shoot gets wrapped in a couple of months.
Manam completes successful 50 days run
ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya’s super hit family entertainer Manam has completed a successful 50 days run at the box-office with a whopping worldwide share of 40 Crores. The love cum family entertainer Manam made with re-incarnation theme is directed by Vikram Kumar and the Akkineni family has produced the movie. Samantha and Shriya Saran paired up with Naga Chaitanya and Nagarjuna respectively. PS Vinod’s cinematography and Anup Rubens musical scores are added assets for the movie besides good performances and intriguing screenplay. Manam Director Not for Akhil?
Previously, it was rumoured that Hanu Raghavapudi would be directing Akhil's second venture. Afterwards, he was supposed to be replaced by 'Manam' director Vikram Kumar. Fresh buzz is that Vikram Kumar wants to team up with Stylish Star Allu Arjun, primarily, for a movie. He may opt for Akhil's movie later. As Akhil and Vikram Kumar's movie is unlikely to get materialized, Akhil has reportedly asked director Maruthi to prepare a story for him. Maruthi has reportedly been given one week duration to come up with a script.. The director is supposed to be narrating the story to Akhil next week. If at all Akhil gives nod, the movie will go on sets soon. Altogether, more clarity on Akhil's second venture should be needed officially. Maruthi's latest offing 'Babu Bangaram' turned out to be a decent success at the box office. Akhil, on the other hand, needs to prove his mettle with second venture. As we know, his debut movie 'Akhil' was misfired at the box office.
Naga Chaitanya Manam team in Mysore
Akkineni family starrer titled Manam has commenced its fresh schedule shoot in Mysore. Featuring ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya in a movie for the first time, the expectations are quite high on the film. After shooting major portions in Hyderabad, Koorg the team of Manam has left to Mysore for a 15 days schedule shoot where prominent scenes on Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya and respective lead ladies Shriya Saran and Samantha will be canned. Manam first look has got very good response. This Annapurna Studios production movie being directed by Vikram Kumar has music by Anoop Rubens and cinematography by PS Vinod.
Kamal Haasan gets emotional watching Manam
Akkineni family film Manam has got good response and is having a successful run at the box-office by crossing a $ 1 million mark in USA. Now, actor Kamal Haasan who has recently watched the movie has showered praises on Manam, remembering his bond with Late ANR. Kamal Haasan says that he has been a big fan of legendary actors Shivaji and ANR and he got emotional watching Manam. “I am glad Akkineni family has made this feel-good film as a befitting farewell for the legendary actor. As a fan, I thank the family for such beautiful movie, which made me yet again become an ANR fan,” said Kamal Haasan. Vikram Kumar directed Manam also had Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Samantha, Shriya and ANR in lead roles, which has camera by PS Vinod and music by Anup Rubens.
