More news →Sivakarthikeyan to work with his first short film director
A few years back when he was a popular stand up comedian and TV anchor, Siva Karthikeyan acted in a short film titled ‘Mugaputhagam’ written and directed by Atlee which was so well received by the youngsters in social media. This served as a launch pad for Sivakarthikeyan and he started acting in feature films. Now Sivakarthikeyan is a fast rising star and Atlee is helming ‘Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay’s 59th film after delivering a super hit with his debut film ‘Raja Rani’. Sources reveal that the duo of Sivakarthikeyan and Atlee will be pairing up again. It is said that Atlee has written a script in the time he got before starting the shoot for ‘Vijay 59’ and he will be directing that script as his next with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. Sivakarthikeyan will be acting in the Atlee directed film after finishing the yet to be titled film directed by Packiaraj who is a former associate of Atlee. Veteran cinematographer P.C.Sriram who is handling the lens for the Packiaraj film has given his nod to work for the Atlee film also. It will be interesting to see two young talents who have struck gold in the struggling period joining hands after gaining stardom. We will, however wait for an official confirmation from either sides.
Arya's brother to work with Vijay
Famous small screen actor, Vijay Adhiraj is all set to make his debut as a director with Puthagam starring Arya's brother, Sathya and Rakul Preet Singh. Vijay had the idea for this film nearly 14 years ago and was over the moon when producer, Dr Ramadass gave him the green signal. Vijay of KSY fame and Sanjay Krishna will also be part of the cast. James Vasanthan will be composing the music. Cinematography will be handled by Lakshman and the dialogues have been written by Guhan Srinivasan, a former assistant of Crazy Mohan. Vijay added that his film will be an out and out entertainer that will strive to give the audience their money's worth.
