Selva Raghavan or Sri Raghava who had directed films such as 7G Brindavan Colony and 'Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule', is caught up in a real-life drama that is as good as any of the masala films that are churned out by the industry. It is a well-known fact that he married Sonia Agarwal, who was also the lead actress of his films '7G Brindavan Colony' and Dhoolpet. But now, he has been caught two-timing Sonia with his latest muse Andrea in Rajasthan. Following rumours about his alleged affair, Sonia is said to have flown to Rajasthan to catch up them red-handed. This she did and it goes without saying that hell broke loose on the sets of the Tamil film that Selva is currently directing. Selva or Sri Raghava has been signed to direct D Suresh Babu's son, Rana's debut film in Telugu. It is a well-known fact that he is the person who gave stardom to his younger brother Dhanush.
Kamal Haasan as 'Raghavan'
The successful Tamil film 'Vettayadu-Velauyadu' with Kamal Haasan, Jyothika and Kamalini Mukherjee in the lead is being dubbed into Telugu as 'Raghavan' by KVV Satyanarayana, Sakhamuri Panduranga Rao on the banner of Channel Communications. Manikyan Narayan is presenting the movie. The dubbing activities of the film have come to an end and the first copy was ready. The audio of the film is all set for launch on August 18 through Aditya Music. The producers are making efforts to release the film on August 31. It may be mentioned here that the film was directed by Gautham Menon, who had directed Venkatesh for 'Gharshana' in Telugu. Harris Jayaraj scored music for the flick. Another interesting feature in the film is that over 90 per cent of the film was shot in the US. One more surprising point to note is that Dasarath, who had directed 'Santosham' with Nagarjuna as hero, had scripted dialogues for the movie. Kamal Haasan is playing the role of a police officer in this movie.
Rana’s next film with Selva Raghavan
Daggubati Rana who has debuted with Sekhar Kammula’s Leader made an impressive mark with his looks and performance among the Telugu audiences. The latest news is that Rana has signed up another film under the direction of Selva Ragahvan. The movie would be a bilingual film. The movie will be produced by Suresh Productions and G.V.Prakash will score the music for the film. Selva Raghavan has earlier directed successful films like ‘7/G Brindavan colony’, ‘AMAV’ and ‘Yuganiki Okkadu’. Rana is currently busy with a Hindi film titled ‘Dum Maro Dum’ which has Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role. More details of Rana, Selva Raghvan’s project are awaited.

It will be directed by SS Rajamouli and will be produced by K Raghavendra Rao's son Prakash. Rajamouli is the hot-shot director in the industry today. In another interesting twist, Selva Raghavan who had directed films such as 7G Brindavan Colony will be directing Rana, producer Suresh Babu's son in his debut venture. It is a known fact that the entire Ramanaidu family thinks highly of the work of Selva and so it is being said that they thought he was the ideal person to launch their latest hero.
Raghavendra Rao plans 'Swami Vivekananda'
Director Raghavendra Rao is known for projecting the heroines in a most beautiful and romantic way. With the age getting advanced, he almost turned philosophical and started throwing his weight towards mythological and devotional films, like Annamayya, Sri Manjunatha, Sri Ramadasu. This year, he is going to direct Yuva Ratna Balakrishna in his home production for 'Rangaa' Pandurangaa' in which the hero is playing a dual role. The script work of the film was almost complete and the music sittings with Keeravani would begin very soon. The film would go to sets in August. Even as the project is yet to begin, the director planned another film on Swamy Vivekananda, who as Narendra, enlightened the entire world about the greatness of India culture, tradition and heritage besides the human values. JK Bharavi was asked to prepare the storyline and the script was also prepared.
Raghavendra Rao's Om Namo Venkatesaya on Roll
Director K Raghavendra Rao is presently making a devotional film titled Om Namo Venkatesaya with Nagarjuna portraying the role of godman Hathi Ram Baba, an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara. Presently, shooting is progressing in a specially erected Tirumala set in Annapurna Studios. Raghavendra Rao is very strict about few things on the sets. He is not allowing anyone to wear footwear, using mobiles during shooting. The entire production unit members should call the co-artist or technician as Govinda. Furthermore, they need to sport three vertical lines (thilak) and wear white kurtha. Starting from Nagarjuna to light boy, everyone is following these rules with devotion and dedication. They are leaving footwear and cell phones outside the set, before start of shoot every day. They even are avoiding non vegetarian food. Pragya Jaiswal, who won critical applause and awards for her performance in Kanche, is playing the female lead in the movie that will also have Vimala Raman, Pavani Gangireddy, Saurabh Raaj Jain in important roles and Anushka Shetty in a cameo. Om Namo Venkatesaya is fourth devotional journey for Nag and KRR, after Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu and Shiridi Sai. MM Keeravani is composer for all these films and A Mahesh Reddy who produced Shiridi Sai is producing this movie too.
