More news →'Singam 3' shoot delayed due to rain
The principal shooting of Suriya-starrer Tamil actioner "Singam 3", which was supposed to start last week in Vishakhapatnam, has been delayed indefinitely due to the grave situation caused by heavy downpour in Tamil Nadu. "The shooting had to be called off due to the rains. Furthermore, Suriya sir was stuck in Indonesia last week as he couldn't return to the city because of the bad weather. Hence, we decided to postpone the shoot," a source from the film's unit told. Not sure about when the film will go on floors now, the source said it might take a while. "Everybody is busy volunteering, including Suriya sir, whose house here was inundated with knee-deep water. This may take a few weeks or even months," the source said. To be directed by Hari, the film is the third part in the highly successful "Singam" franchise. Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan are playing the female leads in the movie. Harris Jayaraj has been roped in to compose the music for the film, which is being produced by Suriya's home banner 2D Entertainment.
Singam 3 faces another roadblock
Suriya's S3, the third instalment of the fierce Singam series, was all set for a Deepavali release but now it looks like the film will be pushed to December. Almost, seventy percent of the shoot is already complete and now the team were supposed to head to Malaysia for its climax shooting but has been postponed. We hear that the Malaysian government has asked for the full script to grant permission. It will be a 2-week schedule and one more song will be shot after the team returns to India. Directed by Hari, the film also stars Anushka Shetty, Shruti Haasan and Vivek in key roles.
Suriya's Singam 3 shooting in September – Confirmed
Suriya's blockbuster combo with director Hari is back. Makers have officially confirmed Singam 3 through news paper. After blockbusters Singam and Singam 2 with Anushka and Hansika, Shruti Haasan joins the team for the third outing of Singam franchise along with Suriya and Anushka. KE Gnanavelraja will produce Singam 3 on his Studio Green banner. Anirudh Ravichander is roped in to compose music. Singam 3 will go on floors in September, after Suriya wraps his ongoing project 24 with Vikram K Kumar opposite Samantha. Director Hari also confirmed that Singam 3 shooting will happen in Tuticorin, Karaikudi, Goa and Paris (France).
Suriya's 'Singam 3' to be shot across four countries
Actor Suriya-starrer "Singam 3", the third film in the popular "Singam" franchise, will be shot across four different countries. The regular shooting will commence from November. "The film will be shot in India, Africa, Australia and Paris. As soon as Suriya completes shooting for Tamil thriller '24', he's expected to take a short break and join the sets of 'Singam 3'," a source from the film's unit told. To be directed by Hari Gopalakrishnan, the film will feature Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. "In India, the film will be shot in Karaikudi in Tamil Nadu and in few locations in Andhra. Key portions will be filmed in Australia, while the climax will be shot in Paris," the source added. The pre-production work is underway and the team is finalising the rest of the cast.

Suriya's 'Singam 3' takes the 'Vedalam' route
The shooting of Suriya’s ‘Singam 3’ was scheduled to begin in the first week of November but the incessant rains and flooding played spoil sport and looks like director Hari’s favorite locations in Thoothukudi and Karaikal will take some time to be normal as more rains are expected in Tamil Nadu in the coming weeks. The team of ‘Singam 3’ have reportedly decided to head to Kolkata in a few days to begin the shoot and then will move on to foreign shores where major portions of the film will be shot. It is worth noting that a major chunk of Thala Ajith’s ‘Vedalam’ was shot in Kolkata.
