As the summer draws to a close, Tollywood has a reason to look back with disappointment on the kind of results that the big budget releases provided.
Touted to a action-packed season, the last three months saw plenty of big movies.
At the end of it all, Pokiri, Sri Ramadasu and Godavari are the ones that can be really called hits.
Sri Ramadasu, riding on a different kind of fervor, was a different kind of movie from the mainline ones.
So Pokiri, the real blockbuster of the summer and Godavari, the soft-fouc romantic flick, are the ones that really impressed.
Some small budget ones like Kita Kitalu managed to sput up a good show.
But biggies like Bangaram, Veerabhadra, Pournami did not exactly set any river on fire.
And that should worry the top manadarins of the industry.
