On the occasion of the 85th Birthday celebrations of Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Dr.Akkineni Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented in a function on 19th September, Friday at Bharatheeya Vidhya Bhavan's Rasamayee auditorium, Hyderabad.
Sahajakavi Dr.MS Reddy (Mallemala), head of Vaijayanthi movies Mr.Ashwini Dutt, Member of Parliament and popular actress Jayaprada, renowned writer Dr.Ravuri Bharadwaja, 1st generation play back singer Ravu Bala Saraswathidevi, popular Mridang vidwan Yella Venkateswara Rao; received the awards from State Minister for Information & cinematography Sri Anam Ramanarayana Reddy.
Later ANR was honored with an amicable birthday felicitation. Speaking on the occasion the minister said, "The life of this glitzy gem of cinema industry Dr.Nageswara Rao is an inspiration for the generations to come."
Acharya C Narayana Reddy, Dr.K.I. Varaprasad Reddy, President of Nataka Kalaparishad S Kondala Rao and other were present on the occasion.
