Comedian Vadivelu politely declined an honorary doctorate, stating that his fans' title of 'Comedy Doctor' is sufficient for him.
Recently a vice chancellor has decided to give honorary doctorate to the leading comedy actor Vadivelu for his contribution to the genre. Since he was not able to meet the actor, he went to the shooting spot of 'Indiralogathil Na. Azhagappan' and put forth his proposal.

Vadivelu, the down to earth comedian, has turned down the offer politely. 'Peoples have given me the grand title of comedy doctor and I don't need any other', was said to be the response of the colourful star.
Vadivelu has changed a lot in recent times. Earlier, the man used to concentrate on his work alone. He would never care about any other aspects of filmmaking. But surprisingly, he takes care of many things like editing, mixing, and rerecording for 'Indiralogathil Na. Azhagappan'.
The movie is expected to be released on the eve of Republic Day.
