It couldn't have been better for Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Traffic Signal'.
After postponing its release from late 2006 to early 2007, it kept reconsidering the right release timing for itself and after thinking of January as an option, it settled for February 02. Though it was still a little risky since it was supposed to come only a week after 'Salaam E Ishq' and had 'Red' as the other release coinciding with it, it was a risk that Bhandarkar was willing to take.
Seems that risk has after all paid for Bhandarkar as 'Traffic Signal' would now be enjoying its status as the sole release of the week with 'Red' postponing to February 23rd. Moreover, even February 09 has two relatively low budget films releasing in the form of 'Black Friday' and 'Undertrial', each of which have their own target audience and hence won't be clashing with 'Traffic Signal'.
All eyes are now set on this dark comedy by Madhur Bhandarkar to arrive on the big screen and make an impression as a third in his Mumbai-based trilogy after 'Page 3' and 'Corporate'.
